Hello all,

I'm going to keep this short, sweet and straight to the point.

There is a lot of issues with the heat-seeking system on SAES when you are dogfighting. To sum down the issue, watch the following video:
https://streamable.com/f55wk

As you can see on the above video, there's a clear lock on the opposing hydra, however, the missiles aren't heat-seeking whatsoever. This has been an issue for many years, and it was sadly never given attention; people just ignored it.

There's a lot of servers that has reworked the system (don't ask me how), which improves the system by a large margin, to limit the number of bugs (such as the one above) to occur when you're dogfighting.

It is extremely frustrating, as there is nothing you can do except for praying your no-scopes hit the target.

Would like to see the new feature of the missles, +1

This has been an issue for many years and bringing light to it has never done anything in the past, hope someone will actually get off their ass and do it this time around

Here's what the DF system looks like on another server - https://youtu.be/T0SLVRnCM38 , it's refined and has a lot more features, unlike our buggy and completely untouched system.

For the love of god, fix this. I cannot express the amount of dents I've put in my desk because of this issue.

I'll pay for a hooker for whoever scripts a new projectile system.

BUMP on this cause I think this suggestion is really needed. Here's another clip of a DF i did recently

pretty damn shitty system as you can see, cause when Im locked (red marker) only one out of every 10 missiles launch or so. Compare this to the video of dinosaur's DF system i linked above and you'll see what a truly refined system looks like. @SAES-Developer consider howlze's hooker deal it's a win win for everybody

I don't use it but I think it should be improved, if there is not other priorities.

I don't see any reason why it's hasn't been fixed already, I've been DF'ing recently and it really feels bad & stupid in some way (As can be shown on Hassoni's videos) The DF'ing as of now is largely based on luck which is totally wrong, and the solution to this is not that complicated, I really have no idea why this thing has to be suggested but not fixed already.

Good idea, but it's hard to prioritize an issue that affects only the handful of players that are allowed to fly hydras.

You're right, it only affects a small amount of players, but here is the thing, it was mentioned that patches for this bug already exist in other server, so it doesn't become a case of "should this be prioritized?", instead it's a case of "when/how can these already existing scripts get implemented in SAES?"
